Phil Delivers the goods…
For the week, Mickelson had 36 one-putt greens and was 2nd in putts per round. On Sunday, he had 8 consecutive one-putts. He uses an Odyssey PM Blade with a White Hot XG insert. By the way, Mickelson won the tournament by 3 strokes despite a Roy McAvoy-esque quadruple bogey 8 on the 14th hole in the first round. Take that away and they might have mercy-ruled this thing after 9 holes on Sunday.

Mickelson played the final 20 holes of the tournament without a bogey. He averaged 301 yards with his FT-9 Tour Authentic Driver, while averaging just 1.617 putts per green in regulation with his Odyssey Putter. His 301 yards off the tee were 12 yards longer than the field average and 5th best.

Also in Phil’s bag: a Big Bertha Diablo 3-wood, a pair of prototype Callaway Hybrids (18° and 21°), X-Prototype Irons, X-Forged Wedges and the Tour ix Golf Ball. He also wears Callaway Tour Authentic Footwear.

If you’re curious, Mickelson told the media he used his 64-degree X-Forged Wedge to make that sublime chip-in on the 16th hole. (Yep, that’s right, I called it “sublime”.) “I had a terrible lie,” he said. “Here I am 15 feet from the hole after hitting a great second shot after a salty little pin in the back right, and I end up with that lie and to make that shot was unbelievable. That ball could have shot off any direction, and it shot off in the hole. That was nice.”
